Tropical Wedding DestinationThe scene: a tropical garden, rising high and overlooking the gently rolling ocean below. The sun is setting, casting a rosy, golden glow on the bride, her groom, and the shining faces of their surrounding friends, old and new. A soft and warm ocean breeze caresses their shoulders. The fragrances of rich, heady flowers fill the air, like jasmine and gardenia, but whether they are from the brides' bouquet or simply the aroma of the air itself is impossible to tell.
At Maravu Plantation Resort, we are a highly sought-after tropical wedding destination. Though we are fully capable of delivering the most elegant of traditional American and European ceremonies, many couples prefer full Fijian wedding celebrations.
In a full Fijian ceremony, the bride may approach her husband on foot or be carried in from the sea on a raft that is abundantly festooned with tropical flowers. The bride and groom wear fresh floral garlands, as do the other guests. An enormous and expansive feast is prepared, and the Meke dance is performed. A full Fijian choir is present. These richly beautiful native ceremonies are musical, poetic, and deeply symbolic.
We can prepare for you a ceremony as simple or as involved as you like. The bride is always involved--colors of the flowers are selected according to her preferences, the cake is prepared according to her specifications, the seating is arranged per her request. Further, couples can have any of our many Maravu Wedding Packages performed anywhere they please: in our tropical garden, which overlooks the ocean, in the actual jungle, at the base of a rainforest waterfall, or within a church in the neighboring village.
At Maravu, we are highly experienced and qualified wedding planners. We can eliminate the stress for you in organizing significant event. All packages can be customized. We look forward to talking with you about your ideal ceremony. Regardless of where you choose to celebrate your love, all of us at Maravu send congratulations to the groom, best wishes to the bride, and good luck to the both of you.
